Your day, step by step
- Choose your ferry departure time when you book.
- Join the security line at Castle Clinton in Battery Park at your ticket time, then board the next ferry.
- Visit Liberty Island and Ellis Island, then ride back to Battery Park.
- Use your Big Bus pass to hop on and off around Manhattan. With the 48-hour pass, join the Night Tour one evening.
Meeting point
Statue City Cruises security screening and ferry departures at Castle Clinton in The Battery (Battery Park), Lower Manhattan. The ticket office is inside Castle Clinton. Your ticket time is when you join the security line. Subway: 1 to South Ferry, 4 or 5 to Bowling Green, R (or W on weekdays) to Whitehall St. Open in Google Maps
Know before you go
- Your ticket time is your security check-in time, not the ferry departure. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your ticket time: lines can take more than an hour at busy times.
- Suitcases, carry-on luggage and large parcels are not allowed on the ferries or the islands, and there is no storage at Battery Park.
- Your Big Bus pass starts on your ferry date. The 48-hour pass covers 2 consecutive days.
- Show your Big Bus ticket on your phone to staff at any stop or on the bus. They give you a receipt to use for the rest of your pass.
- 48-hour pass: the Night Tour leaves at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM from Big Bus Stop 1 (M&M’s World, Times Square). It is a nonstop tour.
- Children under 16 must travel with someone 16 or older.
- Children 2 and under are free. From age 3, Big Bus charges a child fare, so the Child price applies.
